Bio: Stephen Brodsky is best known as the vocalist and guitar player of the 4 piece band Cave In. Since co-founding the group in 1995, Stephen has also remained active as both solo musician and home recording artist. His debut album Expose Your Overdubs was released on Magic Bullet Records in 1998 and marked the first of many solo projects to follow. Stylistically apart from Cave In, Brodsky's solo compositions sound like "audio diary entries" - both singular and immediate; emphasizing the spirit of a work in progress. Connecting these worlds is an ethereal musical atmosphere most notably displayed on Cave In's Jupiter, a treble-charged expression that expands into a shimmering cosmic soundscape. In 2005 Hydra Head Records released four Brodsky-related albums, beginning with The Octave Museum in 2006. Solo tours and one-off's around the world have paired Stephen with a wide range of artists, including Scott Kelly (Neurosis), Jesu, Thurston Moore, Harvey Milk, Sebadoh, Codeine, Ben Kweller, Chuck Ragan (Hot Water Music), Tim Barry (Avail), Tommy Giles (Between the Buried and Me), Pelican, and Mary Lou Lord.

Now teaming up with Little Black Cloud Records for his first batch of solo material since 2009, Hit or Mystery is the sonic reaction to life in New York after calling Boston home for several years. This EP will be released on stunning two-toned vinyl and sleeved in a spectacular embossed, full color jacket. It will also be released in the digital format with a slightly different tracklisting; both available 4/16/13.
