LBC SUMMER UPDATE

 Hey there,

Runhild's first press is nearly sold out but Southern Lord will have some for sale soon via their mailorder. I still have a few for sale in the web store and there is plenty to go around on the second pressing. I can't be any more thankful for all the press Amplicon has received and a HUGE thank you to all of you who have purchased the LP or digital version of the record.

Ringfinger (AKA me) is in the process of working on a new record. I don't expect it will be done until next year but it is in the works. Check back here for links to the demos as I finish each new song. I have two songs done with a third in the works right now. This time around I will be releasing the LP and the digital myself.

The Stephen Brodsky 2 song 10" has grown into what will be at least a 5 song EP. I was hoping it would be ready for release by this Sept but realisticaly I think it won't be ready until December. The awesome news there about the delay is there wil be even more material to enjoy so I swear, we will make this release worth your wait!

The next release will be a retrospective collection type thing by the now defunct New Jersey indiepop band called Dunebuggy. They had a few singles out but nothing in a full length form so this has been a long time coming - like 15 years. Members Jon and Keith were friends I made while working at a record store called Flipside Records in Pompton Lakes, NJ back in the late '80s. Eventually I ended up singing with them for a handful of recordings so while I never played with the live - we did practice for a stretch there and Jon was also a guitar player in my band at the time Dahlia Seed. Dunebuggy broke up in 1995 after just releasing two singles, one self released and the other on Spinart but sadly no other music by them has ever seen the light of day no less remixed and mastered. This October I will be digitally releasing a collection of songs by Dunebuggy and I can't tell you how excited I am for this happen. Not just because they are longtime friends or that I sang on a few song - their music was/is amazing. They were lyrically brilliant with a quirky balance of pop and guitar craziness that fans of groups like Built to Spill, Polvo, Lemonheads, Pixes, and the Blake Babies are bound to appreciate.

Lots more about this release soon but in the meantime, enjoy this screen shot from the fan remix version of the movie Empire Records. Hi there Dunebuggy 7" peeking out of the bin!
